Torino eyes defensive signings as Leicester relegation drops prices
Serie A side Torino is active in the summer transfer market, targeting defenders to reinforce its back line. The club has identified Leicester City centre‑back Caleb Okoli, whose value fell below €10 million after the Foxes’ relegation, as a prime target. Torino’s sporting director Gianluca Petrachi is also monitoring fellow Leicester defender Ben Nelson.
In addition, Torino is considering former Inter centre‑back Francesco Acerbi, whose contract expires tomorrow. Acerbi is linked with Genoa and has been courted by former Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi, while a lucrative offer from Saudi club Al Hilal has been mentioned but not pursued.
These moves aim to strengthen Torino’s defence ahead of the upcoming season.
