Torino eyes Fiorentina midfielder Lorenzo Amatucci for summer sign‑on
Following the appointment of Ignazio Abate as Torino's head coach, the club has begun its transfer activity. Sporting director Gianluca Petrachi, together with Abate, attended the Malaga‑Las Palmas playoff semifinal to assess potential targets. Torino is reportedly focusing on 2004‑born Lorenzo Amatucci, a central midfielder owned by Fiorentina. Amatucci spent the 2023‑24 season on loan at Las Palmas in Spain, becoming a regular starter despite the team's failure to gain promotion, after which he will return to Florence.
Amatucci, a product of Fiorentina's youth system, debuted for the senior side in 2024 before loan spells at Ternana and Salernitana. He is praised for his vision, vertical passing and the ability to play both as a deep‑lying midfielder and a mezzala, making him a suitable replacement for veteran Marco Prati at Torino.
