Torino football club restructures squad and youth teams amid mixed results

Torino FC is undertaking a major squad overhaul after spending roughly €33 million on signings that have failed to deliver, such as Zakaria Aboukhlal, Tino Anjorin, Ivan Ilic and Franco Israel. The club has already recouped €6.4 million from the sales of Walukiewicz to Sassuolo and Seck to Partizan Belgrade and is looking to generate further funds to finance new arrivals. Ilic, who earns about €2.2 million a year and is valued at €7 million, remains under contract until June 2027, while Israel, bought for €4.5 million and limited to nine appearances, is also expected to leave.

At the same time, youth director Ruggero Ludergnani assessed the season for the Primavera and lower age groups. The Primavera, coached by Baldini, secured survival on the final day and showed improvement after a difficult start. Across the Under‑17, Under‑18, Under‑15 and Under‑16 squads, several players stood out, and the club maintains a solid pipeline of talent that could underpin future senior squad rebuilding.
