Torino hosts AI & VR Festival to discuss industrial adoption and digital security
The fifth edition of the AI & VR Festival – Multiverse World concluded at the Environment Park in Torino. The two-day event brought together institutions, universities, research centers, startups, and industrial leaders to discuss the future of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and virtual reality.
Gabriele Ferrieri, President of ANGI, stated that while Italy possesses the necessary skills and technologies to lead the digital transition, the nation must move quickly from the experimentation phase to full industrial adoption. He also emphasized the importance of protecting the economic system from cyber risks and supporting young talent.
Addressing the international landscape, Fabrizio Spada, Head of Institutional Relations for the European Parliament in Italy, noted that Europe needs to increase industrial investments in AI to close the gap with other global technological powers. He highlighted that this progress should be balanced with the protection of individual rights and freedoms, as outlined in the EU AI Act.
