Accademia dello Spettacolo to film ‘Knock il Musical’ in Torino

The Accademia dello Spettacolo is launching a new film production titled ‘Knock il Musical’ in Torino. The project is part of the fourth edition of the Bottega dello Spettacolo, an initiative designed to bridge the gap between artistic training and professional employment.

Sixteen young artists under the age of 30 from across Italy have been selected to participate. The program includes preparation, pre-production, and ten days of professional filming under formal entertainment sector contracts. While previous editions focused on live performance, this iteration expands into cinema to provide diverse professional experience.

The production, inspired by Jules Romains’ comedy ‘Knock ou le Triomphe de la médecine’, is a rock-style musical exploring themes of disease and the manipulation of consent. The project was selected by the ‘Per Chi Crea 2025’ program, supported by SIAE and the Italian Ministry of Culture. The initiative has received long-term support from Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and Fondazione CRT.
