Torino looks to offload Biraghi to ease high wage bill

Torino FC is prepared to let left‑back Cristiano Biraghi leave the club, even for a modest offer, in order to reduce a salary exceeding €3 million gross per year. The 33‑year‑old, who earned around €900 k in market value, is not part of new coach Ignazio Abate’s plans, as the coach prefers more dynamic full‑backs. Biraghi has been largely sidelined this season, appearing mainly as a substitute and being listed among the squad’s surplus players.

The club’s hierarchy, led by director Gianluca Petrachi, is actively scouting alternatives such as Niccolò Fortini, Rafael Obrador and other targets, while monitoring potential buyers during the summer window. Torino aims to free wage space and re‑allocate resources for other positions ahead of the next season.
