Tornado confirmed in Wielkopolska, Poland

A tornado has been officially confirmed to have passed through the Wielkopolska region in Poland, specifically affecting the Gniezno district and the municipality of Kłecko. Expert Łukasz Kuliński, known as the Wielkopolska Storm Hunter, confirmed the phenomenon after analyzing ground damage and radar data.

The tornado created a destruction path approximately 6.1 km long, moving from the vicinity of Wola Łagiewnicka and Gorzuchowo toward Kłecko. In the most severely impacted areas, wind speeds were estimated to have reached between 200 and 220 km/h. The event is noted as one of the stronger tornadoes recorded in Poland in the 21st century, with an estimated intensity of IF2.

Significant damage was reported, including destroyed roofs on houses and barns, fallen trees crushing vehicles and buildings, and damage to a local parish church ceiling. In Gorzuchowo, a 1.5-ton jacuzzi was reportedly moved nearly 20 meters by the wind. Drone footage revealed a characteristic path of destruction in nearby forests, where trees were broken in a swirling pattern consistent with a tornado.
