Toro brotherhood unveils model for new Holy Week float

The Cofradía de Jesús Nazareno y Ánimas de la Campanilla has officially presented the model for its new processional float, ‘La Sagrada Lanzada’, at the Teatro Latorre in Toro. The project aims to recover historical elements of Toro’s Holy Week traditions.

The artistic work is a collaborative effort between sculptor David Alonso and carver José Antonio Pérez. The float is expected to make its first procession in 2028.

The presentation included institutional support from the President of the Diputación de Zamora, Javier Faúndez, and provincial deputy Natalia Ucero. In recognition of the provincial government's financial support for the project, the brotherhood presented officials with a ‘Conquero’, a symbolic piece of local brotherhood tradition.
