Toro to invest 3.25 million euros in water system modernization
Authorities in Toro have signed a protocol to launch a 3.25 million euro modernization project for the city’s drinking water supply system. The initiative is a joint investment between the Junta de Castilla y León, the Diputación de Zamora, and the Toro City Council.
The project includes three primary components: the creation of a new water intake from the Duero River, the installation of a 2.3-kilometer pipeline, and the construction of a new Water Treatment Plant (ETAP) designed to meet both current and future demand. The upgrades aim to ensure a reliable supply and improve the quality of life for local residents.
