Toronto Argonauts defeat Winnipeg Blue Bombers 30-28

The Toronto Argonauts defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 30-28 at Princess Auto Stadium, extending their winning streak to four games and improving their record to 9-6. The victory was secured by a 36-yard field goal from Lirim Hajrullahu with just 27 seconds remaining in the game.

Argonauts quarterback Chad Kelly recorded 290 passing yards and two touchdown passes, including long scores of 56 yards to Tyler Kahmann and 84 yards to Damonte Coxie. A notable play occurred early in the game when Janarion Grant returned a missed 45-yard field goal attempt by Winnipeg’s Sergio Castillo 128 yards for a touchdown.

Winnipeg, led by backup quarterback Dru Brown, initially held a 21-7 lead in the second quarter following touchdown catches by Tim White and rookie Dorian Singer. Backup quarterback Bryce Perkins contributed a 76-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to briefly give the Blue Bombers a 28-24 lead before the Argonauts' final scoring drive. The loss brings Winnipeg's record to 7-7.
