Toronto celebrates major cultural festivals

Toronto is seeing a resurgence of major cultural celebrations. The Canadian federal government has announced funding of up to $100,000 through the Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Program to support the return of the Taste of the Danforth festival. Following a two-year hiatus, the event, which began in 1994, will once again celebrate Greek food and culture in the Danforth area.

Additionally, the Toronto Caribbean Carnival Grand Parade recently took place, featuring masqueraders, music, and traditional Caribbean culture along the Lakeshore. While the event was noted for its vibrant community spirit and creative costumes, organizers noted challenges regarding unauthorized participants entering the parade route.
