Toronto FC acquires Lewis Morgan from San Diego FC

Toronto FC has acquired forward Lewis Morgan from San Diego FC in a trade that includes a 2026 International Roster Slot. The 29-year-old Scottish international joins Toronto to bolster their attacking options.

Morgan brings significant MLS experience, having previously played for Inter Miami CF and Red Bull New York. During his tenure with the New York Red Bulls, he recorded 31 goals and 10 assists. He was also named the 2024 MLS Comeback Player of the Year after recovering from a hip injury.

Toronto FC General Manager Jason Hernandez stated that Morgan’s ability to play multiple attacking positions will be a valuable asset for the team. This move marks Toronto's third summer reinforcement, following the additions of midfielder Niklas Dorsch and defender Richard Chukwu.
