Toronto Film Festival Market Announces Star-Studded Speaker Lineup

The inaugural TIFF: The Market, part of the Toronto International Film Festival, runs from Sept. 10‑16 and will feature a slate of high‑profile speakers. Actors and creators include Gary Oldman, who will discuss his creative process while promoting the sixth season of the Apple‑backed series Slow Horses; Curry Barker, director of the box‑office hit Obsession, speaking alongside star Inde Navarrette; and Robbie Brenner, two‑time Oscar‑nominated producer of Barbie and Mattel Studios president, who will highlight her work on the festival’s Special Presentation The Housewife.

Additional participants are acclaimed Korean director Lee Chang‑dong, receiving the Ebert Director Tribute Award, and Killer Films co‑founders Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler, who will discuss the role of producers. Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group co‑chairs Pam Abdy and Mike De Luca also join the Visionaries and Dialogues programs, underscoring the market’s blend of creative and commercial focus.
