Toronto International Film Festival Announces 2026 TIFF Docs Lineup Featuring Megan Rapinoe Documentary

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has revealed its 2026 TIFF Docs program, which will open with "Rapinoe," a documentary by Rebeca Huntt profiling U.S. soccer star Megan Rapinoe. The lineup includes more than 20 documentaries, with over two‑thirds directed by women, and features titles such as "Edward Said: Between Worlds," "Re/Pair," "Low Lies the Land," "Union Town" by veteran filmmaker Barbara Kopple, and Alex Gibney's "Musk," which receives its North American premiere.

The festival runs from September 10 to 20, 2026, and highlights a mix of world and North American premieres covering subjects from winemaking in Italy to ultramarathon running and the lives of young Ukrainians amid war. The program underscores TIFF's commitment to diverse, female‑led storytelling in documentary cinema.
