Toronto International Film Festival hosts Lisa and Rebel Wilson premieres

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is hosting several high-profile premieres, including the documentary ‘Always Lalisa’ and the musical comedy ‘Girl Group’.

K-pop star Lisa, a member of Blackpink, made a major appearance at the festival for the premiere of her documentary ‘Always Lalisa’. Directed by Sue Kim, the film provides an intimate look at Lisa’s transition into a solo career, documenting her experiences with her debut solo album ‘Alter Ego’, her acting debut in ‘The White Lotus’, and her performance at Coachella.

Additionally, Rebel Wilson is promoting her second directorial feature, ‘Girl Group’. The film, which Wilson wrote, directed, and stars in, follows a disgraced pop star mentoring a new group of young singers. The production features appearances by various music legends.

Other notable festival highlights include the documentary ‘Man In Motion: The Rick Hansen Story’, which chronicles the journey of Canadian Paralympian Rick Hansen, and various other high-profile films featuring actors such as Chris Rock, Seth Rogen, and Michelle Yeoh.
