Toronto International Film Festival Unveils 2026 Primetime Lineup

The 51st Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), presented by Rogers, will run from September 10‑20, 2026. Its Primetime programme, overseen by lead programmer Geoff Macnaughton, showcases new episodic storytelling with world premieres and new seasons of series such as *American Hostage*, *Carrie*, *Crystal Lake*, *Blindspot Berlin*, and the opening series *Below*. The slate features a mix of North American and international productions, many based on established IP, and includes notable talent like Jon Hamm, Gary Oldman, and Linda Cardellini.

TIFF’s gala and special presentations will feature about 23 films from more than 30 countries, ranging from thrillers and biopics to documentaries. Among the highlighted titles is Sian Heder’s *Being Heumann*, a historical biopic, and a selection of Canadian and global works intended to foster dialogue and showcase artistic excellence.
