Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly eyed by multiple teams
Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly, 32, is projected to leave Toronto this offseason. He has four seasons remaining on an eight‑year deal worth $7.5 million per year and a full no‑movement clause, giving him the right to choose his destination. General manager John Chayka and former Leafs captain Mats Sundin are in talks with Rielly’s agent about a possible trade. The player has reportedly listed five potential destinations: the Seattle Kraken, Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks. The Leafs will need to navigate salary‑retention issues and decide what assets—such as a draft pick, prospect or roster player—can be returned in exchange for Rielly’s contract.
