Toronto Maple Leafs sign Sergei Bobrovsky to three-year deal

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky to a three-year, $21 million contract following a major organizational overhaul led by general manager John Chayka. Bobrovsky joins the team from the Florida Panthers, having previously played a significant role in Toronto’s playoff exits in 2023 and 2025.

Maple Leafs head coach Jim Hiller noted that Bobrovsky has already made a strong impression on the roster. Hiller described the goaltender as a humble professional with a championship presence and a fierce competitive nature. Despite being soft-spoken, Hiller stated that Bobrovsky commands respect and attention from his teammates.
