Toronto police investigate fatal shooting outside Providence Healthcare

Toronto police are investigating a homicide after a man and a woman were killed in a shooting outside Providence Healthcare on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. in a parking lot near Warden Avenue and St. Clair Avenue East.

Duty senior officer Scott Shutt stated that the victims are believed to have been married and that the woman was a patient at the hospital. As of the latest update, there have been no arrests and no outstanding suspects have been identified.

Unity Health Toronto, the operator of Providence Healthcare, confirmed that the hospital campus remains secure and that scheduled appointments for Tuesday will proceed as planned. Police are asking anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact investigators.
