Toronto Raptors sign guard Malachi Smith

The Toronto Raptors have signed free agent guard Malachi Smith ahead of their upcoming training camp. Smith, 26, is a second-year player who went undrafted last year.

During the 2025-26 season, Smith appeared in 15 games for the Brooklyn Nets, averaging 8.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 23.9 minutes per game. He shot 48.5% from the field and 43.5% from three-point range. He also played 39 games for the Nets' G League affiliate, where he averaged 14.4 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.6 rebounds.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed due to team policy.
