Toronto Tempo face season-ending injuries to Sykes and Morrow

The Toronto Tempo continue to face significant roster challenges due to a wave of injuries. The team announced that guard Brittney Sykes and forward Aneesah Morrow will both miss the remainder of the WNBA season following injuries sustained during a recent victory against the Portland Fire.

Sykes suffered a new injury to her left foot, while Morrow sustained a left knee injury. Other players sidelined for the Tempo include Marina Mabrey, Nyara Sabally, Maria Conde, and Janiah Barker. Coach Sandy Brondello noted that the team is currently ineligible for a hardship-exception player despite the depleted lineup.

In recent action, the Las Vegas Aces defeated the shorthanded Tempo 88-78 in Vancouver. A’ja Wilson led the Aces with 27 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists, while Jackie Young contributed 21 points. The loss brings the Tempo's record to 11-26.
