Toronto Tempo sign former HBCU star Zaay Green

The Toronto Tempo have signed guard Zaay Green to a developmental contract. The 25-year-old, a former standout at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), aims to earn her first WNBA minutes following a year playing overseas.

Green was originally selected 32nd overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft by the Washington Mystics but was waived during training camp. Since then, she has played in Lithuania, Cyprus, and Mexico, averaging 12.4 points and 5.5 rebounds across 51 games.

During her collegiate career, Green was a historic figure at UAPB, recording the program's first triple-double and finishing her tenure there with 1,278 points. She also played for Alabama, where she led the team in scoring during her final season.
