Indiana Fever defeats Toronto Tempo to extend winning streak

The Indiana Fever beat the Toronto Tempo 113‑91 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, marking the Fever’s fourth consecutive victory and their longest winning streak of the season. Sophie Cunningham led the team with 24 points on 6‑of‑7 three‑point shooting, while Kelsey Mitchell contributed 27 points and Caitlin Clark added 21 points and a season‑high 14 assists. The Fever out‑rebounded the Tempo 43‑27 and recorded 25 assists, setting a franchise regulation‑scoring record for a single game.

Toronto’s loss was compounded by a foot injury to guard Brittney Sykes, who left the game in the third quarter after scoring 11 points. Coach Sandy Brondello indicated that Sykes would be evaluated but hoped the injury was not serious. The Tempo also saw Julie Allemand exit early with a headache. The Fever’s win improves their record to 9‑5, while the Tempo fall to 7‑8.
