Toronto Tempo WNBA team to host games in Vancouver
The Toronto Tempo WNBA expansion team is expanding its presence in Canada by hosting games in Vancouver. The team is scheduled to play the Portland Fire on Friday and the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday at Rogers Arena. A fan festival featuring a 3x3 tournament and player appearances will also take place on Saturday.
Tempo president Teresa Resch stated that the team's strategy is to be 'Canada’s team' by playing games from coast to coast. This follows previous successful appearances in Montreal and a sell-out inaugural season at Toronto’s Coca-Cola Coliseum.
On the court, the Tempo (10-25) have struggled, entering the Vancouver series on a 13-game losing streak and having already been eliminated from playoff contention.
