Toronto transit services face multiple detours and closures
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has announced several service disruptions due to infrastructure maintenance and city construction. On Saturday, October 24, Line 2 Bloor-Danforth subway service will be suspended between Kipling and Jane stations. During this period, trains will only operate between Jane and Kennedy stations, with shuttle buses partially replacing the service to facilitate track, signal, and traction power upgrades.
Additional streetcar and bus detours are in effect due to various infrastructure projects:
• The 501 Queen streetcar is detouring due to city work, with shuttle buses operating between Parliament and Church streets. • The 304 King and 504 King streetcar routes are experiencing detours for infrastructure work on King Street East. • Bus routes 45 Kipling and 345 Kipling express are detouring while the City of Toronto upgrades storm and sanitary sewer systems on Kipling Avenue.
Commuters are advised to check for temporary stops and plan for potential delays.
