Toros del Este reacquire Eguy Rosario in trade with Leones del Escogido

The Toros del Este have reacquired infielder Eguy Rosario in a trade with the Leones del Escogido. In exchange for Rosario, the Toros sent pitchers Winston Santos and Leonardo Taveras, along with a seventh-round selection in the 2027 Rookie Draft, to the Leones.

Rosario, 27, previously played for the Toros after being drafted by them in 2018. He recently played in the Mexican Baseball League for Algodoneros de Unión Laguna, where he recorded 12 home runs and 40 RBIs in 59 games. Toros General Manager Jesús Mejía noted that Rosario strengthens the team's infield and provides a significant offensive advantage against left-handed pitching.

Winston Santos, a prospect for the Texas Rangers, joins the Leones. Santos, 24, has experience in both AA and AAA levels and made his Major League debut earlier this year.
