Toroslar Municipality renovates historical site in Arslanköy

The Toroslar Municipality has completed renovation works in the Arslanköy neighborhood of Mersin to preserve the historical and cultural landscape. The project focused on the Çınaraltı area, which features a century-old plane tree planted in 1939.

Under the direction of Mayor Abdurrahman Yıldız, the municipality renovated the ground with paving stones, constructed a new parking area to increase capacity, and added new restroom facilities for improved hygiene. Additionally, the municipal building used as a coffeehouse underwent structural repairs, including new roofing, doors, windows, and stairs. These improvements aim to provide a cleaner and more functional space for both local residents and tourists visiting the Arslanköy plateau.
