Torre Annunziata: Palazzo Fienga tower demolished

The tower of Palazzo Fienga, a long-standing symbol of Camorra criminal power in Torre Annunziata, has been demolished. The demolition is a key stage in the removal of the entire complex, which was previously confiscated from organized crime.

The technical operation was carried out by the 21st Engineer Regiment of the Italian Army. The project is being coordinated by the State Property Agency and various institutional bodies, including the Prefecture and the National Anti-Mafia Prosecutor's office.

The site is slated to be transformed into a public park and a multi-functional space to provide greenery and social areas for local residents, particularly the youth. Naples Prefect Michele Di Bari described the intervention as having strong symbolic value, representing the restoration of legality and the return of territory to the city.
