Torre Annunziata to host debate on municipal dissolutions for mafia infiltration

A conference titled ‘Sciogliere non basta’ (Dissolving is not enough) will be held on October 26 at Villa Tiberiade in Torre Annunziata to discuss the dissolution of local governments due to mafia infiltration.

Promoted by the Foro XXI association and supported by the Campania Region and the Municipality of Torre Annunziata, the event will feature speakers including Prosecutor Nunzio Fragliasso and the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari. The debate aims to address the prevention of criminal infiltration, institutional guarantees, and the reconstruction of trust between citizens and local administrations.

The discussion is particularly relevant for Torre Annunziata, which has faced two consecutive dissolutions of its municipal administration following investigations into organized crime interference. The city is currently managed by an extraordinary commission following the dissolution approved by the Council of Ministers in June.
