Torre del Greco launches new sports initiatives and Dragon Boat trophy

Torre del Greco is implementing new sports initiatives through municipal funding and national programs. The local government, led by Mayor Luigi Mennella, has allocated 25,000 euros to fund the “Trofeo Città di Torre del Greco.” This event, organized by the Asd Nautilus Group, focuses on the Dragon Boat discipline and is scheduled to take place from October 27 to October 31.

Additionally, the “Sport Illumina” project has been launched in the city. This initiative, realized by Sport e Salute and funded by the Ministry for Sport and Youth, provides accessible urban spaces for basketball and parkour. The project aims to repurpose public areas into community hubs for social interaction and physical activity.
