Torre del Greco: Man arrested after electronic bracelet alert

A 29-year-old man was arrested in Torre del Greco after an electronic ankle monitor alerted authorities to his presence in Piazza Santa Croce during Ferragosto celebrations. The individual, who was under house arrest, was found among a large crowd of people during religious processions.

Upon intervention by the Carabinieri, the man was found to be in violation of his house arrest terms and was also found in possession of a folding knife. He faces charges for evasion and the illegal carrying of a weapon.
