Torre del Greco: Missing 71-year-old man found alive after five days

Luigi Formisano, a 71-year-old man, has been found alive after being missing for nearly five days in a rugged area of Torre del Greco. He was located in a densely vegetated and difficult-to-reach section of via Ruggiero near the base of Mount Vesuvius.

According to Mayor Luigi Mennella, Formisano had been without food and water for almost five days. The rescue operation was successful due to the efforts of canine units, firefighters, law enforcement, and civil protection volunteers. Following his discovery, he was transferred to a hospital to be stabilized and receive medical treatment.
