Torre del Greco's MAC3 Museum to debut at Vicenzaoro

The MAC3 Museum (Museum of Art, Coral, Cameo, and the City of Torre del Greco) is making its international debut at the Vicenzaoro jewelry fair, held in Vicenza from September 4 to 8. As part of the VIOFF collateral events, a virtual presentation of the MAC3 Museum will be hosted at the Museo del Gioiello on September 5 and 6.

To enhance the visitor experience, the Consorzio Corallo e Cammeo Torrese will provide live demonstrations of traditional engraving techniques. These two-hundred-year-old methods are central to the identity of Torre del Greco, a city recognized globally for its coral and cameo craftsmanship.

Torre del Greco has a long-standing history as a center for coral and cameo production, with traditions dating back to the 18th century. Local artisans specialize in hand-carving Mediterranean red coral and shells, a heritage maintained by family workshops and protected by the ‘Made in Torre del Greco’ seal.
