Torre del Lago: Driver injured in collision with wild boar

An 18-year-old driver was hospitalized with minor injuries following a collision with a wild boar in Torre del Lago. The incident occurred around 1:00 AM on Viale Europa when the animal suddenly emerged from the vegetation, making it impossible for the driver to avoid the impact. The boar died in the collision.

The accident has renewed concerns regarding the increasing presence of wild boar populations in the coastal areas between Torre del Lago and Viareggio, particularly near the Levante pine forest. Local authorities have advised motorists to exercise extreme caution during nighttime hours due to the unpredictable risk posed by wildlife crossing busy roads.
