Torre Flavia to implement heavy security for Ferragosto
Authorities are implementing strict security measures at the Torre Flavia Natural Monument for the Ferragosto holiday. Corrado Battisti, head of the protected area, announced that between 30 and 40 operators will be deployed to manage the site.
The security plan includes closing four access points, establishing checkpoints, and conducting continuous patrols. Local ordinances from the municipalities of Cerveteri and Ladispoli prohibit nighttime access to the protected area and specific beaches. Officials noted that while previous holiday observances like San Lorenzo were relatively calm, they expect increased challenges during Ferragosto due to potential alcohol-related issues.
