Torre Vicens to become youth community hub in Lleida

The Paeria and the Diputació de Lleida have reached an agreement to transfer the modernist building Torre Vicens in the Secà de Sant Pere neighborhood for a renewable 25-year period. The project aims to transform the 19th-century building into a space where local youth can work, develop community projects, and engage in educational activities.

The Secà de Sant Pere Neighborhood Association has expressed support for the initiative, provided it includes a strong educational component and active programming for minors rather than serving as an unregulated space. Additionally, local leaders noted the upcoming installation of a Citizen Service Office at the neighborhood community center and raised concerns regarding unauthorized parking in loading and unloading zones.
