Torrecuso and Monteleone Sabino hold August heritage food festivals

The town of Torrecuso in southern Italy will host “Un Tuffo nel Passato – Sapori e Giochi della Nostra Tradizione” on 1–2 August 2026 in Piazza Antonio Fusco. The two‑day programme combines traditional folk games such as the pot‑breaking, sack race and egg‑on‑spoon contests with a showcase of local farm‑style dishes, live popular music and a market of regional crafts.

On the same weekend, Monteleone Sabino in Lazio will stage the “Sagra delle Fettuccine alla Trebulana”. Evening stalls will serve hand‑made fettuccine prepared with a historic recipe of tomato, peas, mushrooms, ham and pancetta, alongside vegetarian variants, local Sabina DOP olive oil, sweets and live music. Both events aim to promote regional culinary heritage and attract visitors to the historic towns.
