Torreiglesias launches its inaugural Feria de las Flores

The municipality of Torreiglesias hosted the first edition of its Feria de las Flores on Sunday, July 26, as part of the Segovia Food Caravan (Caravana de Alimentos de Segovia). The event showcased a range of locally grown flowers and artisanal food products, with workshops, children's activities, art displays and folk performances.

Provincial officials attended, including Miguel Ángel de Vicente, president of the Diputación Provincial de Segovia, and Magdalena Rodríguez, vice‑president for Rural Promotion, alongside mayor Mario Pastor. Local exhibitors featured cheeses, wines, honey, hemp products, olives, pastries and other regional specialties, offering direct sales to visitors.

Organisers highlighted the fair’s aim to add value to the countryside, promote wild flower species traditional to the Segovian rural landscape, and support small producers linked to the Segovia food brand.
