Torrejoncillo del Rey hosts 8th Culture and Religion Days

The 8th Culture and Religion Days in Torrejoncillo del Rey, organized by the Hermandad del Santísimo, concluded on October 18. Held under the theme ‘The Liturgical Time, or the sense of permanence in Torrejoncillo del Rey’, the event featured a variety of academic, musical, and religious activities.

The program included lectures on the medieval liturgical calendar, spiritual and earthly power, and traditional rural customs. Cultural highlights included an exhibition at the Casa de la Cultura, a charitable gastronomic event, and a baroque music concert by the Cuarteto Vivaldi at the Ermita de la Soledad, which drew approximately one hundred attendees.

The event concluded with a mass at the Nuestra Señora de la Asunción parish church and the traditional Procesión de Minerva. Since its inception in 2015, these annual sessions have aimed to document and promote the intangible and devotional heritage of the region.
