Torrelodón and Alhama de Murcia celebrate student graduations and award ceremonies

In Torrelodón, Spain, a graduation ceremony for the Grade 12 class took place on Saturday. The event gathered students, families and local officials, including Education councilor Lorena Fernández, who praised the graduates and underscored the municipality’s commitment to education.

In Alhama de Murcia, Spain, the town’s council hosted a gala at the Casa de la Cultura to present awards to 22 students from primary, secondary, vocational and baccalaureate programmes. Mayor Rosa Sánchez and Education councilor Antonio García highlighted the revival of the awards to recognise effort and personal perseverance. The ceremony also honoured teacher María Isabel Guillén, named Spain’s seventh‑best secondary‑school teacher, and featured performances by local music groups.
