Torremolinos joins founding group of ‘Orgullo Andaluz’ network

Torremolinos has become a founding member of ‘Orgullo Andaluz’, a new collaborative network designed to coordinate the defense of LGTBI rights and diversity across Andalusia. The alliance was officially presented during the VI International LGTBI Congress of Andalusia held in Torremolinos.

Joining Torremolinos as founding municipalities are Sevilla, Jerez de la Frontera, and Almería. The network aims to bring together local administrations, social entities, and businesses to create a unified public response to discrimination. A dedicated committee will be established to organize the efforts of its members, with the goal of progressively expanding the alliance to include institutions throughout the entire community.

The congress focused on several key areas, including intersexuality, sports, education, and the fight against LGTBiphobia. The visibility of intersex individuals was highlighted as a primary theme during the working sessions.
