Municipalities Extend Tax Amnesty Deadlines and Discounts

The municipal government of Tarija, Bolivia announced that the deadline to pay vehicle and property taxes without fines or interest has been extended to 6 August, stating, “se alargó un mes, es hasta el 6 de agosto, cuando termina el plazo para el pago de impuestos, sin multas ni intereses.”

In the Santa municipality, officials reminded residents that the 2026 tax amnesty ends on 31 July, urging taxpayers to regularise their debts before the deadline to avoid the resumption of penalties.

Chile’s Rinconada commune was added to the list of 25 Valparaíso‑region municipalities where taxpayers can declare and pay July obligations until 30 October without fines or interest, following a resolution by the Servicio de Impuestos Internos.

Torreón, Mexico launched a program offering up to 70 % discount on property (predial) taxes and related fees for qualifying homeowners, aiming to stimulate the local economy and fund public works.
