Torreón to host employment fair with over 500 vacancies

Torreón will host the 2026 Municipal Employment Fair on Thursday, October 1, at the Salón Peñoles of the Museo Arocena. The event aims to connect job seekers directly with companies from the industrial, commercial, and service sectors.

More than 500 vacancies will be available, with monthly salaries ranging from 10,000 to 35,000 pesos. The positions cater to various educational levels, from primary school to specialized profiles, and include opportunities for seniors, people with disabilities, and those undergoing social reintegration. Participating companies include H-E-B, OXXO, Caterpillar Torreón, Hospital Andalucía, and Grupo Surman.

Mayor Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís noted that the city has seen approximately 7,000 new formal jobs registered with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) so far this year. He attributed this growth to local competitiveness, security, and a skilled workforce, which continue to attract private investment.
