Torrent approves tender for new Lope de Vega school
The Torrent City Council has approved the tender for the replacement of the CEIP Lope de Vega school, with a budget of 7,946,056.11 euros, including VAT. The project is part of the Generalitat Valenciana’s Edificant Plan.
The works involve the demolition of the existing building on Doctor Francisco Roselló Street and the construction of a new, modern facility on the same site. The new three-story center is designed to meet current standards for security, accessibility, and energy efficiency.
Planned facilities include eight early childhood education classrooms, twelve primary education classrooms, a dining hall with a kitchen, a gymnasium with changing rooms, a library, and specialized rooms for music, IT, and educational support. The project also covers the renovation of outdoor areas, including playgrounds and a sports track.
