Torrent home invasion leaves woman with six stab wounds

A woman was hospitalized with six stab wounds to her back following a violent home invasion in Torrent, Valencia, on Sunday afternoon. The assailants, a woman and her male partner, gained entry to the property by using an X-ray film to slip the door latch.

Once inside, the female suspect attacked the resident with an improvised sharp weapon, while her accomplice attempted to assault the victim's partner with another blade. The attackers fled the scene in a car before authorities arrived. The victim was transported to Valencia General Hospital for treatment.

Investigators believe the attack was motivated by a dispute between the two women that occurred two days prior. While the suspects remain at large, police have successfully identified both individuals. Both the male intruder and the victim's partner have prior criminal records.
