Torrent launches Pump Track construction and opens cafeteria tender

The municipality of Torrent has begun work on a new Pump Track at the Mas del Jutge industrial park. Earth‑moving, leveling and surface preparation are underway, with the project aiming to create a modern, free‑access circuit for bicycles, skateboards and scooters. Mayor Amparo Folgado said the works turn a vacant parcel into a space for healthy outdoor activity and social interaction, especially for young people.

At the same time, Torrent’s city council has approved an open tender for the concession of the bar‑café at the Anabel Medina Sports Centre. The contract, managed by the Municipal Sports Foundation, will be awarded to an external operator for up to four years, with a minimum annual fee of €9,000. Sports councilor María Ángeles Lerma highlighted the goal of providing a professional, efficient service that supports athletes, clubs and visitors, while encouraging investment in energy‑efficient equipment.
