Torrent opens new outdoor sports facility on Mauros Street

A new outdoor sports area on Mauros Street has opened in Torrent, located between the El Molí and Benisaet neighborhoods. The facility covers approximately 1,577 square meters and offers free access to residents.

The site includes basketball, futsal, and volleyball courts, as well as areas for calisthenics and table tennis. It also features rest areas, shade, and water fountains. This municipal plot was previously used as a temporary collection point for materials following the DANA emergency floods on October 29, 2024, before being repurposed for recreational use.

Torrent Mayor Amparo Folgado stated that the facility is open to citizens of all ages for both individual and group physical activities.
