Torreperogil to begin street repairs following storm damage

Torreperogil will begin street asphalting this week as part of a broader effort to repair damage caused by recent storms. The Spanish Government has allocated over 7.7 million euros to the municipality to address the consequences of winter storms, focusing on the recovery of municipal infrastructure, rural roads, support for farmers, and job creation.

Specifically, nearly 1.4 million euros are designated for municipal infrastructure and services damaged by early-year flooding. This includes repairs to building roofs and the resurfacing of several streets, such as Antonio Chacón, Cervantes, and Santa María.

This local investment is part of an extraordinary provincial deployment in Jaén, where more than 400 million euros have been allocated across 94 municipalities to fund approximately 2,500 recovery actions.
