Torrevieja postpones international half marathon to 2027

The Torrevieja City Council has postponed the International Half Marathon and the 10K race until 2027. The decision was made by the Department of Sports due to ongoing construction works and an asphalt paving plan affecting much of the planned route.

Local authorities stated that the postponement is necessary to ensure the safety and quality of the event for runners, organizers, and the public, as current roadworks make it impossible to guarantee optimal conditions. A specific date for the 2027 edition has not yet been set, but the council intends to communicate details as soon as they are finalized.
