Torridge District Council seeks construction limits for Manor Offices
The Torridge District Council environmental planning team has requested restrictions on construction hours for the £723,000 refurbishment of the Manor Offices in Holsworthy. The proposal aims to protect the interests of local residents during the project.
If approved, construction would be limited to 7am to 7pm on weekdays and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays, with a total ban on work during Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Additionally, the council’s conservation officer reviewed the plans, noting that while the removal of a section of wall in the main hall is not ideal for the building’s historic fabric, the impact on the building's significance would be limited if certain architectural details are retained.
